The new turbo itself is a brand new product from http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/ called the Garrett RM400. I will let you know how good it is once I get the car running again, but I have heard excellent reviews about it.
The thing with upgrading is that you can't just stick a big turbo on and leave it at that, the car would blow up again, so I bought some other bits to prevent that from happening. Again, from Roger Clark Motorsport I bought a Samco turbo hose, Ngk Iridium spark plugs, Warlbro stage 2 fuel pump, and from other sources a K&N 57i induction kit and some FlatFourOnline 740cc injectors. This should be all I need to do the job (hopefully) then just a second remap from http://www.brdevelopments.com/. Who I have used before, Bob is brilliant and great to get on with, I recommend seeing him if you need a remap.
Before the turbo popped I was running the car at 340bhp on LPG. Sounds hard to believe, but it's true. I have been dealing with a company called Future Power and a chap their called Malcom Douglas, They work mainly with high performance vehicles such as Mitsibishi Evo's and Cosworths. Malc said he'd never done a Scooby before so it was a challenge for him, but it worked perfectly as proved when me and our Benner drove to the Nurburgring last year. (More on that later) If the gas can cope with 400bhp is yet to be seen, I hope it can. Let you know very soon. If you are interested in halfing your fuel bills, contact future power here: http://www.futurepower-lpg.co.uk/ Right, enough plugging for evening, I'm going to bed. Have a great evening and come see us soon at OPB!
