Picture me rollin'

So, another couple of days pass and finally I get to see if there is still life in the Scoob. Stick on some jump leads, turn the key and she starts straight up. Sort of. Ok, not straight up. I forgot to connect the induction kit so all I got was the starter motor going. But once I put that on it was perfect. The new turbo sings beautifully when you rev it a bit. Just waiting for the injectors STILL! And a new up pipe, cos it split some how. Maybe the car thinks I don't have enough to deal with, maybe it wants to test me and see at what point I stop working on it and say 'Right then, screw you, I've had enough of your shenanigans, some one else can do this'. Anyway, be sorted before long, report back soon.

Our Benner bangs his head a lot

Evening all, lets get down to buisness as I have many Z's to catch up on. Right, this weekend at OPB has been very productive... for some. Our Benner (pictured here in his wheelarch) managed to fit his new K-Sport brakes to his Nissan 200sx (s14a for those in the know). He's currently bedding them in and is chuffed that OPB could help him out once more. Benner has been to us on many occasion's, he is an asset to the group and will be a regular on the blog. If you would like to know more about our Benner and his 200sx please visit http://bennyblogger1980.blogspot.com/.

Also this weekend after many weeks of waiting most of the parts arrived that I was waiting for. The project I have going is a 400bhp upgrade for my Scooby P1. I wouldn't have bothered to upgrade the car normally because it's brilliant as standard but since I blew the turbo to pieces and showered a long line of traffic in thick black smoke I figured I just as well.

The new turbo itself is a brand new product from http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/ called the Garrett RM400. I will let you know how good it is once I get the car running again, but I have heard excellent reviews about it.

The thing with upgrading is that you can't just stick a big turbo on and leave it at that, the car would blow up again, so I bought some other bits to prevent that from happening. Again, from Roger Clark Motorsport I bought a Samco turbo hose, Ngk Iridium spark plugs, Warlbro stage 2 fuel pump, and from other sources a K&N 57i induction kit and some FlatFourOnline 740cc injectors. This should be all I need to do the job (hopefully) then just a second remap from http://www.brdevelopments.com/. Who I have used before, Bob is brilliant and great to get on with, I recommend seeing him if you need a remap.

Before the turbo popped I was running the car at 340bhp on LPG. Sounds hard to believe, but it's true. I have been dealing with a company called Future Power and a chap their called Malcom Douglas, They work mainly with high performance vehicles such as Mitsibishi Evo's and Cosworths. Malc said he'd never done a Scooby before so it was a challenge for him, but it worked perfectly as proved when me and our Benner drove to the Nurburgring last year. (More on that later) If the gas can cope with 400bhp is yet to be seen, I hope it can. Let you know very soon. If you are interested in halfing your fuel bills, contact future power here: http://www.futurepower-lpg.co.uk/ Right, enough plugging for evening, I'm going to bed. Have a great evening and come see us soon at OPB!

The return of OldPigBarn

Guess who's back in the the muthafukin' hizouse??

Hi, for those of you who can remember the old 'oldpigbarn' Hello and Welcome back! For all you new peeps, What up y'all?! There are some slight changes since the last time I was on here. For a start, the blog is now actually about the 'Old pig barn' (which is a garage) and no longer just random jabberings from a place called All Cannings. What I'm going to do is upload pictures and info on projects going on at OPB, I'll do this as often as I can, However I'm a very busy man, but I'll try my best to keep on top of it.
